Captive breeding / propagation

The offspring of Psammocora obtusangula are possible. Unfortunately, the number of offspring is not large enough to cover the demand of the trade. If you are interested in Psammocora obtusangula, please ask your dealer for offspring. If you already own Psammocora obtusangula, try breeding yourself. This will help to improve the availability of offspring in the trade and to conserve natural stocks.

Husbandry

Psammocora obtusangula
Lamarck, 1816

Characters:

Colonies are nodular or form small flattened branches. The latter may be only weakly attached to the substrate. Corallites are circular, not well defined and are not in valleys except at the tips of nodular growths where they are usually crowded.
