Parvulastra exigua is a tiny flattened petagonal starfish. The arms poorly developed.Dorsal surface with plates,each with a cluster of knob-like spines.Colour uniformly khaki-green or orange,brown,green an white patterns.

Feed on micro-algal biofilms.
