Info

Laomenes holthuisi Bruce, 2014

Laomenes is a genus of shrimp that currently includes only 9 described species.

Feather star shrimp live commensally on feather stars and are perfectly adapted to their host with their color/pattern. Laomenes holthuisi has a white base color with black spots and yellow eyes. In the photo, the adaptation to the color pattern of the feather star, which is also white-black-yellow, can be clearly seen.

Unfortunately, no further information is available.
