Chondracanthus canaliculatus (Harvey) Guiry, 1993

Thallus cylindrical to slightly flattened, 2-3 mm wide; branches arise alternately on opposite sides of main axis. This red alga grows in extensive mat-like clumps of entangled branches; greenish-olive, red-brown to purple-black.

Similar to Analipus japonica.
