Cuthona phoenix Gosliner, 1981

These nudibranch feed on the campanulariid hydroid, Gonothyraea serialis.

Cuthona "phoenix" is named by latinizing the name of the bird from Egyptian mythology which rose from its own ashes to renew its life. How fitting.
