Type locality. Balanoy dive site, Calumpan Peninsula, Mabini, Batangas, Luzon, Philippines. Geographic range. Philippines and Japan.

External distinguishing characteristics of this species include the presence of widely spaced white patches on the body, a longer than wide headshield, with large posterior extensions, and a shell with the apex extending slightly beyond the posterior end of the aperture.

Prey on cirratulid polychaete worms.
