Info

Neovespicula depressifrons is kept in aquariums and easy to care for.
Newly added fish should be encouraged to eat with live food at the beginning, and later, appropriately sized frozen food can be offered.

Caution: When adding and possibly moving, be sure to use a thicker glove to avoid being stung; the venom stingers are located on the fin rays.
Stings can be very painful, but the sting is not dangerous for healthy owners.
If you are stung, the affected part of the body, usually the hand or arm, should be held in as hot water as possible so that the proteins of the venom denature due to the heat.

Adult fish live in the sea, while young fish live in the fresh water of rivers. Later, they migrate to brackish water and the sea.
Specialist retailers state that Neovespicula depressifrons cannot be kept permanently in fresh water; a salt content of 3 grams per liter is recommended.
