Most sea anemone species are harmless to humans, but A. arboreum is highly venomous and its sting can cause severe skin ulcers (as also suggested by its alternative name, hell's fire anemone).
Actinodendron arboreum is commonly referred to as Burrowing Sea Anemone, Hell's Fire Anemone. Difficulty in the aquarium: Not suitable for aquarium keeping. Toxicity: Has a poison harmful to health.
