Facelina bostoniensis (Couthouy, 1838)

The epidermis is translucent white,there is a rose coloured hue around the mouth. The cerata are numerous. The oral tentacles are very long
Sometimes blue iridescence is present in small areas around the head.

Facelina bostoniensis feeds on hydrozoon-polyps Bougainvillia, Clava, Clytia, Cordylophora, Eudendrium, Tubularia, Ectopleura, Dynamena, Hydrallmania, Sertularia und Obelia, including Tubularia larynx and Clava multicornis.
