Astrocladus euryale (Retzius, 1783)

The Basket star Astrocladus euryale can be found in 10-40 m dephts. This Basket star is very common in South Africa.The disc with black pattern, the arms are grey in colour with dark stripes.

Astrocladus euryale feeds on small animals and particles in the water.The Basket star can usually found on sea fans,sometimes on corals.
