Info
§lat is a semi-transparent goby with numerous small, dark orange-yellowish spots that lie in diagonal rows on the head.
The eponymous black spot, which is about as large or larger than the goby's pupil, is located in the shoulder area, just above the base of the pectoral fin, and a second, similarly sized black spot can be seen in the middle of the base of the caudal fin.
This goby inhabits mixed sand and coral gravel areas near reefs.
Synonym: Fusigobius humeralis (Randall, 2001)
Synonym: Fusigobius humeralis
Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
