Ismaila copepods of the Splanchnotrophidae family are specialist parasites of sea slugs.

The white parasitic copepod in the article photo parasitizes a Caloria indica nudibranch. The photo was taken from Kwajalein/Marshal Islinads. It is not known what damage this nudibranch suffers from the parasite. Unfortunately, further information is not available.
