Ecsenius stigmatura Fowler, 1952
Beautiful small fish, that ist rare in German Reef Tanks.Great little Blenny, that swims similar to the E. bicolor, with same hiding maners. The fish are a Reef Safe Blenny species, that will NOT do harm to SPS or LPS Corals. It eats primary only Algae, that it nips off the glass and rockworks.
Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
