Eunicella microthela (Esper, 1797)

Eunicella gorgonians usually form more or less branched polyp stalks.Eunicella microthela is yellowish, light orange or cream colors, depending on whether the polyps are expanded or not.
This pretty sea fan can be found in caves and sheltered areas without strong waves at depths of 1-360 m.

Eunicella papillosa is a filter feeder.
