Info

Elacatinus lobeli is a small coral goby found in the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, South Water Caye Marine Reserve, Sapodilla Cayes on coral heads in patch reefs on sandy bottoms.

The IUCN Red List also gives Guatemala as the locality, but neither the initial description (see link1, here from Belize and Honduras) nor the further description (see link 5, here Belize, Honduras and Quintana Roo, Mexico, Eastern Pacific) list Guatemala.
Since Guatemala is located in the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, an occurrence in Guatemala is in any case quite conceivable.

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
